Shawn Sellers (son): My father AL R Sellers, formerly of D troop, died on July 10, 2010 from kidney failure. He was living in Craigsville, WV with his wife.

Obituary:

Al Roy Sellers, 81, of Craigsville (Nicholas County) passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, at his home. He was born Sept. 15, 1928, near the Louisiana border and made his home with his beloved grandparents the late Roberta Love and Caswell Lee Joiner.
He served his country for 22 years, including two wars, Korea and Vietnam. He was awarded this country's third highest honor, the Bronze Star, for service in Vietnam. After he retired from the military, he joined the Leawood Police Department in Kansas. He Graduated from the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute, Louisville, Ky. Traveling up through the ranks, he became chief of police in two years. After 13 years in the police force, he retired. and he and his wife. Jean. returned to her native state West Virginia. He accepted a job in the West Virginia and Maryland in Weights and Measures, finally retiring after five years to West Virginia Al was very active in volunteer work and received the Jefferson Award for outstanding work as a volunteer at the Nicholas County Sheltered Workshop in Craigsville.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the White Funeral Home in Craigsville with Father Jerome Rawa officiating. Interment followed in the West Virginia Memorial Gardens in Calvin.
